Baala Kaandha

The hermit Valmeeki asked Naarada, first of noble sages whose mind did dwell
Ever on sacred Vedic lore divine, “O Sage, breathes who in this earthly world now,
Is a refuge for all the virtues good, Is brave, truthful and knows his dharma well
Who never forgets to him the good done, who is ever unmoving in his vow”

“Whose conduct cannot be ever faulted, and who to every living soul is kind
Whose learning is ever second to none, whose handsome looks are pleasing to behold
In whom does courage and right valour shine, envy does never ever touch his mind
Whose righteous anger contained within, but terrifies the very celestial fold.”
